1. Data We Collect

We collect: your name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account; payment reference numbers from Paystack (we never store card details); learning progress data (lessons watched, quiz scores, journal entries); community posts and reactions; and, if you connect your Deriv account to the Account Tracker, your Deriv API token (stored encrypted).

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used exclusively to operate and improve the CIM-EDGE platform. We use your email to send platform notifications, weekly digests, and membership-related communications. We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to third parties.

3. Cookies & Sessions

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No third-party tracking cookies are used on the platform. The public marketing site may load Google Fonts from Google's CDN, which may set cookies subject to Google's privacy policy.

4. Measuring Visits

We count visits to the public pages so we know which ones are useful. This is measured on our own server: no Google Analytics, no advertising networks, and nothing shared with anybody else.

We record the page, the time, the page you came from, and the kind of device and browser. We do not store your IP address. It is turned into a one-way scrambled value that lets us tell one visit from another without ever being able to work out who or where you are, and it cannot be turned back. Because we do not place any cookie for this, there is nothing for you to accept or refuse.

Records from automated crawlers are deleted after 30 days, browser details after 60 days, and everything else after roughly 13 months.

5. Emails We Send You

We send three kinds of email. Essential ones you cannot switch off, because they are how you keep control of your account: password resets, new sign-in alerts, and payment confirmations. Membership ones about renewals. And optional ones such as study reminders, the weekly summary, payout window reminders and occasional announcements.

Every non-essential email carries a link to choose which ones you receive, or stop them altogether, and you do not need to sign in to use it. We record when each message was sent, whether it arrived, and whether it was opened or a link was clicked, so we can tell whether our own email is working. That record is visible only to CIM-EDGE admins.

6. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If your account is inactive for 12 months after membership expiry, we may delete your data. Unverified accounts (registered but payment not completed) are deleted after 48 hours.

7. Security

We take the protection of your data seriously. Passwords are never stored in plain text, and sensitive credentials such as broker API tokens are kept encrypted at rest. All traffic to and from the site is protected with HTTPS, and we never share your credentials with third parties or log them to external services. We follow industry-standard practices to keep your account and trading data secure.

8. Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data, correction of inaccurate data, or deletion of your account at any time by contacting us via the Contact page.
